You'll have a better chance at being consistent with eating healthy if you source your food from a local producer of from your local store. Nutritious foods organically sourced foods are the best you could possible consume, however not always attainable depending on where you live and of course the affordability also makes it difficult. You'd be surprised to find that what is fundamentally good for your health can be found where you normally shop. 

Consuming organic wholefoods is key to achieving a healthy lifestyle, however if your choices are limited, here is a list of wholefoods that are thought to contain the least amount of nasties:

Alternatively a reverse osmosis system is great although can be expensive and time consuming to maintain, if you do go down this path ensure your system produces the right PH level and take care with keeping the system clean. Also ensure such a system is able to re-mineralise the filtered water. Otherwise, stay clear of tap water and consider natural spring/mineral water. Key points: Water is needed for hydration which is essential for normal cellular function. Getting the right PH level is important as to is the optimal amount daily to flush out toxins.

Pasture-raised is higher in Omega 3s and has better antioxidant levels than conventionally raised. Ideally you should consume grass fed organic meat if the cost and availability is not an issue (Study). If your meat sources are not organic and you are limited to the meat from animals fed on corn products, have hormones added or antibiotics are used, decide carefully if you should continue to eat meat and how to keep up with your vitamin B12 dietary needs.
